Breds is a non-profit association established by local community leaders with the assistance of Peace Corps Volunteers in 1998 to promote Education, Sports, Cultural Heritage, and Environmental awareness in Treasure Beach. The term "Breds", short for Brethren, is commonly used by locals hailing each other on our fishing beaches.
Currently Breds is focusing on several major projects including: computers for schools, the treasure Beach Emergency Response Unit, Hook ‘n’ Line Fishing Tournament and the Treasure Beach Triathlon. Breds is committed to the enhancement and upliftment of the Treasure Beach community. Their projects and programs continue to grow and move with the needs of the area.
